In keeping with our overall philosophy, it is central that we build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients. As such, we will seek to develop a clear understanding of your company, its ethos and practices as well as the specific details of your recruitment needs.

We take care to ensure, wherever possible, that CVs are issued in a standardised format for quick and easy assessment. As part of our bespoke service, we evaluate all candidates prior to forwarding their details to maximise the quality and accuracy of our candidate match; this evaluation process is designed to ensure you received the best candidates without unnecessary steps in the chain. To ensure continual optimisation, we welcome 360degree feedback from our clients with regards to our appraisal procedure.

We make all interview arrangements on your behalf and confirm with both parties both verbally and in writing where possible. We advise that all candidates are thoroughly prepared for interview and will provide them, where appropriate and practical, any information that we have upon the vacancy and the company.

We will make offers to candidates on the clients behalf; under no circumstances, as is industry standard, is an offer to be made directly to any candidate.

Fee structure

Permanent Assignments

As a mark of our confidence in our strengths, Engineering Jobs Cumbria offers a “no placement, no fee” service for permanent recruitment, unless working on a retained or bespoke basis.

Permanent jobs are billed on the basis that a percentage of the annual salary plus guaranteed bonus / company car etc (to value thereof) will be invoiced to the client and that the client shall have the protection of the guarantee period in line with the terms and conditions of placement.

*We only give preferential rates to clients to whom we are preferred suppliers or that contractually commit to future business. If we are instructed to perform retained recruitment we will endeavour to pass any preferential advertising and internet marketing rates back to the client.*

Retained Assignments

Retained recruitment is executed on the basis that our parent company, Recruitment Cumbria Ltd (RC), will be the sole agency and provide dedicated resource to satisfy the needs of the client.

Ordinarily the project commences with a one third of predicted fee deposit, a further third at presentation of shortlist of applicable candidates for second interview (first interviews having been conducted) and then the balance upon successful appointment.

This solution provides greater control for all parties and ensures a very high level of efficiency and low down time for the client.

Adjustment to standard Terms and Conditions including fees

Adjustments to the above will only be agreed if we are officially documented as preferred suppliers and are listed upon the relevant PSL / PSA documentation.

This may include master vendor agreements but not where the effect is punitive to us.

It is significant to note that if a specific clause of any terms is altered via mutual agreement, the balance of the terms will remain intact and unaltered.
